Our Mission
1) Organize, listen, inform, and activate (giving a voice to grass roots citizens)
2) Make state government accountable to voters/taxpayers
3) A return to citizen legislators and away from career politicians
4) Reduce the size of the footprint that state government has in the lives of individuals
Our Vision
In 1776 the fifty-six Patriots from the thirteen colonies organized around a set of demands in response to what had become an oppressive and tyrannical rule by the King of England. They started an experiment in self-rule. They wanted to form a government, as the Declaration stated, “that derived its powers from the consent of the governed”. The Declaration states, “that whenever any Form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government…..as to them shall seem most likely to affect their safety and happiness.”
After listing the grievances of the Patriots, the document points out that, “In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humblest terms: Our Repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury”, and that, “A Prince whose Character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is UNFIT to be the ruler of a free people.”
Two hundred and forty years into this exercise into self-rule, we eerily find ourselves in the same predicament with the same grievances, as the Founders. We are governed not by the State of Wisconsin and the U.S. Constitution with the rule of law as its foundation, but by uncaring politicians assisted by an administrative state comprised of unelected bureaucrats who have unchecked authority enacting oppressive and offensive rules that have the force of law. The concept of a government of, by and for the people has been turned on its head and into a government of, by and for the unelected bureaucrats. WE THE PEOPLE DID NOT CONSENT TO THIS TYRANNY.
Our government is no longer limited in scope. It is lording over us much like King George and the Crown of England. This encroachment into our daily lives has become untenable. We continue to be ignored. We are treated like children, like clients who are dependent on someone else’s training and certification that we do not possess. We DEMAND to be treated like the customers we are. Customers hold the power because they have the choices.
When Wisconsin Legal Residents today have less of a chance of receiving a call back or reply from their elected representative than lobbyists or special interests, there is a problem.
When Wisconsin Voters have no faith that we have clean and fair elections, there is a problem.
When Wisconsin sanctuary cities and counties give illegal aliens rights, not contained in the State or Federal Constitution thereby making us second class citizens in our own state, there is a problem.
When a pandemic or other crisis is exploited to where Wisconsin government seizes more power for itself beyond the constraints of the State and Federal Constitution, and classifies humans into categories of essential and non-essential, there is a problem.
When Wisconsin public officials make a career out of public service and then enrich themselves through influence peddling after leaving office, there is a problem.
When activist judges look the other way in the face of obvious violations of law and act like super legislators, we have a problem.
When publicly funded schools ignore the will of parents and indoctrinate the children instead of educating them, there is a problem.
Freedom loving Wisconsinites deserve better than what the government at all levels is doing to us. They are not listening to us. They do not really care about us. We The People of the State of Wisconsin in order to return to the original concept of self-governance will only attain our Freedom by building a critical mass of individuals and rising up against the tyranny that we are living under. Elected officials need a stern reminder that they are the servants of the people and not an elitist class of rulers. Their current attitude, that they know what is best for us, is over. We Wisconsinites know what is best for us. What we want is what we will get. We are no longer asking for a redress of our complaints about government. We are demanding a return to the idea of self rule in the State of Wisconsin with the People at the top and the elected representatives at the bottom.
Under the State and US Constitutions We the People are sovereign, not government.
We will prevail in taking our government back. We will not take ‘no’ for an answer. We are going to change the political culture in Madison.

Rise Up Wisconsin is a 501(c)4 organization.
We are a nonpartisan, grassroots, bottom-up approach to advocacy that will give a voice to individuals who have been excluded from having a seat at the table of state government. Individuals now have a Voice, and our Voices will be heard moving forward.
If we are going to retake America, it has to be done by reclaiming control of state government from lobbyists and special interest groups. We need to nullify the federal government’s attempt to lord over Wisconsin and its people with oppressive federal orders.
Politicians take note: We will be heard.
